Guest guest
Dear Gloria, I was just washing dishes when it occurred to me that you will be travelling this month. I wanted to mention an idea to you....you had said you would be driving from Santa Fe up to Denver. Well, somewhere about halfway up there is a turnoff that would take you directly to Crestone, CO. Have you heard of it? It is a tiny village nestled beneath the enormous Sangre de Cristo mountains that is represented by many, many spiritual paths. There is something very sacred about the land there and the villagers are great to talk to (you can meet them at the town store/gas pump, where organic produce is sold!). They love living there and are willing to endure lots of inconveniences (climate and distance) to do so. It is the home of a plethora of psychics and healers and lots of temples and domes and monuments and a monastery, even. And the Roadkill Cafe. If you can catch a sunset there, the mountain peaks in blazing pink are really, really breathtaking. Maybe that's why they call them "Sangre de Cristo." If you do decide to go, don't forget some warm clothing. It's real high up. Probably 9000 feet. That's a guess. Love, Kheyala
Guest guest
Wow, sounds like a place not to be missed. Thank you for thinking of me, Kheyala. Linda is moving to near Santa Fe by then, maybe I can meet her. It was a mistake when I said this month, it's near end of Oct, so probably really cold in the mountains. I've printed your message to save. Thanks again, Gloria - Kheyala Friday, September 07, 2001 3:02 PM Crestone, CO Dear Gloria, I was just washing dishes when it occurred to me that you will be travelling this month. Paths, places, sights, perceptions, and indeed all experiences arise from and exist in and subside back into the Space of Awareness. Like waves rising are not different than the ocean, all things arising from Awareness are of the nature of Awareness. Awareness does not come and go but is always Present. It is Home. Home is where the Heart Is. Jnanis know the Heart to be the Finality of Eternal Being. A true devotee relishes in the Truth of Self-Knowledge, spontaneously arising from within into It Self.
