Guest guest
Hello all, You might see it in the news. Bomb threat at Grand Central Station, Manhattan, New York. I work in the short skyscraper right above it. Many people evacuated, and it was left as an individual choice. Some stayed, some left. The police just announced that no bomb or other suspicious item was found, and Grand Central has been re-opened. Terrorist activities, and the safety and security measures that arise from them, are things that other countries have lived and struggled with for many years. Perhaps the U.S. can learn from their experiences. Yesterday, only 10% of the workforce came to work in our building ("Non-essential staff, do not report to work"). We all had to check in at the front security desk to get on to the elevator. I noticed that everyone did this quite willingly, even though on normal days we stream directly onto the elevators. People will gladly trade some comforts to achieve more safety. Love, --Greg
Guest guest
Dearest friends, There have been times in these awe-filled days, that I have searched here in tears for a word of comfort. Just today, the Washington Post has begun to list the unaccounted for from the Pentagon. And so I look there for the name of my beloved Michael. And each day, I must go to work. My last client of the day, a 14-y.o. girl, told me: "Kids are not really upset; they have seen it all already in the movies." Darlings, Love is eternal, the Activity. We know this. My heart now does not want to stop, bow to mind, measure words. A schizoid patient said to me today that the web is the fisher's net that the Christ spoke of. We ARE the net of jewels. Oh darlings! There is a song I hear frequently: "Christ has no body now but yours, no hands, no feet on earth but yours..." "Arise, shine, for thy Light has come." Each breath, each expression a choice between heaven and hell; more light, less. On this shimmering web of light, shine. Act, and shine.
