Guest guest
Greg had written: Terrorist activities, and the safety and security measures that arise from them, are things that other countries have lived and struggled with for many years. Perhaps the U.S. can learn from their experiences. Yesterday, only 10% of the workforce came to work in our building ("Non-essential staff, do not report to work"). We all had to check in at the front security desk to get on to the elevator. I noticed that everyone did this quite willingly, even though on normal days we stream directly onto the elevators. People will gladly trade some comforts to achieve more safety. Love, --Greg Dear Greg and Everyone: Tonight many faculty, staff, and students will be attending a vigil for 2 students, recent graduates, class of 98, who were on flight 11 from Boston that was made to crash. Their parents will be here as well. It is heart breaking for me. I have been getting e-mails from my students who knew them and worked with them in teams and groups in their classes. Shawn and Lynn were here for four years. I had Lynn in my class in the Fall of 1997. Everyone is going through their grieving and reflecting and perhaps there will be some comfort for their parents in being in the community where their children spent their college years. I have never been to a vigil before and am feeling sad. I pray for the grief and suffering of those whose lives have been so changed because of the unexpected events and the loss of their dear loved ones. Wishing you all comfort and peace in friendship and fellowship Love Harsha
Guest guest
Dear Harsha: Last night I attended a satsangh to send prayers to the world and will attend another one today at 11:45 AM to join the country in this day of prayer and remembence. A resident of the ashram was killed on the plane that went down in PA and his wife and daughter remain behind. The 5 year old daughter told her older step brother that she knew her father was someplace else now but still at work. He was a lawyer and in her mind he is now defending angels. May all of our hearts be unified today to send comfort and healing to this sad planet. Love, Linda >I have never been to a vigil before and am feeling sad. No path goes nowhere. Paths, places, sights, perceptions, and indeed all experiences arise from and exist in and subside back into the Space of Awareness. Like waves rising are not different than the ocean, all things arising from Awareness are of the nature of Awareness. Awareness does not come and go but is always Present. It is Home.
