Where are these held? How do we get there? Is there a link? As you see, I am eager to "meet" everyone in cyberspace. This is a difficult and sad time. Thank you to Linda (the other one) for her very thoughtful metaphor of the rose bush. I have, in listening to the news, hear many commentators say that this tragedy is bringing people together ~ families, neighbors, friends, colleagues, strangers. It deepens my sadness terribly that, despite this and what it means for us all, that the individual war in my family continues...as Doug and I have embarked in my little house on wheels (Kheyala, we have something in common ~ I would love to hear more of yours). I hold the intent that any negativity in my own heart be lifted, be transformed into moving forward in my life. Before I left Oregon, at my last session with my therapist, I said that I wasn't sure that, in the face of everything that has happened, my art or music has much meaning or impact. He looked at me very pointedly and said, "We need art; we need music and laughter..." And then last night reading through my diary of a year ago I found many places where I received specific guidance and urging and reinforcement from spiritual helpers that my purpose here is to do my creative work. And so, I will be getting on with it. Blessings to everyone ~ Linda
Guest guest
Hello Linda, << Where are these held? How do we get there? Is there a link? >> /chat chat requires the following: a personal computer running Microsoft Windows 95, 98, NT, or 2000 Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 4.0 or later) or Netscape Navigator (version 4.08 or later) In the help section they do not say if they support Apple. Guess we have to test it. There is a chat room associated with each and it may be accessed when you go on the home page of that group. Guest guest
Thanks Linda and Antoine. How many people would like to do the satsangh chat tomorrow and what time? Is evening a better time? 9 to 11EST? Earlier, later? Comments welcome. Guest guest
Hi Linda, Antoine explained earlier how to join the chat. It is quite simple. There is a chat room associated with each and it may be accessed when you go on the home page of that group. In this case: People can go there, sign on, and then click chat. We will then all make it for 9pm-11pm EST tomorrow. Guest guest
Hi Harsha; I tried to join the chat however, claims I am not a member - so I joined under new id's etc just to do the chat but then they claim I do not have a valid address to get in - I'll try again. Guest guest
We had a very successful satsangh chat from 9pm to 10pm EST on Sunday. Diane chanted the Gayatri mantra which was beautiful. I had the opportunity to do some chanting as well for the group. Most people could hear my voice pretty clearly and it was evidenced by a fairly quick thinning of the crowd after I started. I am embarrassed to say that I enjoyed my singing at the expense of everyone else. Just kidding. I am pretty shameless. We will have the satsangh chat (which also allows voice and sound) every Sunday 9pm -10pm. Christiana, Kheyala, Dick, Jan, and Antoine have promised to sing and chant at the next gathering. Thanks. Guest guest
Thanks Kheyala. But I really do want to hear you and Antoine and Christiana and others sing and chant. Honestly. We need to take turns. There is too much pressure on me. Anyway, why should everyone else other than myself maintain dignity and composure. Help me out guys! :-). By the way everyone, Satsangh chat on Sunday at 9pm is now considered a regular event. Everyone is welcome. Let us entertain you!
