LOL, I mean we always were even when we were asked to look after the list too, we have just been hanging around here longer. Have you noticed how after something like the recent tragedy, so many former problems and worries of people now seem trivial to them? No doubt they already were. Sometimes people who have already lived thru some major personal tragedy have had such a shift in their perception. Anyway I intuit thru the appreciation evident in your art that you have a feeling for what is the essence and true importance of life. Your post would need some study to comment in depth, but I was struck early on by this statement you made: The feeling of separation is acute. Without an identity there to be separate it would not be a problem. Identifying with the instrument of seeing is the cause of the First Dualism. (Identify instead with the Consciousness). This is a point Greg explains so well, he was the first to really get it across to me. Not just "hearing the idea" you are not the body, but to get the insight and deeply experience it can be so transforming as to no longer need to make any apparent choice where to identify. Here it is in a recent post from Greg in connection with a Jean Klein quote, so I'll close by sharing it with you. I'm pretty sure he won't mind. Thanks for this quote Mark!This is the crown jewel in Jean Klein's teaching. What is most outstandingin Jean's particular approach can be boiled down to this sentence, which isdownright earth-shattering when it is fully realized. Realizing the true importance of life must itself be important. Christ died on a cross to bring the message of how important self realization is. This past weekend, I had a lovely gathering to have an old fashioned gospel sing around the piano to get our minds off the tragedy for a few hours. It ended up being a night of such different music as we had a variety of musicians that came -- we sang/played/listened to oldtimey gospel, latin, classical, newage, movie themes, opera, patriotic, you name it. When 'Climb Every Mountain' (from the Sound of Music)came up, I couldn't resist belting that one out. It cleared the room. :-) What a great evening though, despite my singing.
