Guest guest
- Srinivasan Venkataraman A very interesting message..... please read on.Malachi 3:3There was a group of women in a Bible study on thebook of Malachi. As theywere studying chapter three, they came across versethree, which says:" Hewill sit as a refiner and purifier of silver."This verse puzzled the woman and they wondered whatthis statement meantabout the character and nature of God.One woman offered to find out about the process ofrefining silver and getback to the group at their next Bible study. That week this woman called up a silver smith and madean appointment towatch him at work. She didn't mention anything aboutthe reason for herinterest in silver beyond her curiosity about theprocess of refiningsilver. As she watched the silver smith, he held apiece of silver over thefire and let it heat up. He explained that in refiningsilver, one needed tohold the silver in the middle of the fire where theflames were hottest asto burn away all the impurities. The woman thoughtabout God holding us insuch a hot spot-then she thought again about theverse, that he sits as arefiner and purifier of silver. She asked the silver smith if it was true that he hadto sit there in frontof the fire the whole time the silver was beingrefined. The man answeredthat yes, he not only had to sit there holding thesilver, but had to keephis eyes on the silver the entire time it was in thefire. The woman wassilent for a moment. Then asked the silver smith, howdo you know when thesilver is fully refined? He smiled at her andanswered, "Oh, that'seasy-when I see my image in it."If today you are feeling the heat of the fire, remember that Bhagawan hasHis eye on you.
