Guest guest
My dear Mark, One of your finest... that is, if we can still and need to grade the sublime...! Your poem stands out so much for me. The talk lately here, has been about consciousness, awareness. (-: of course, that figures :-) Someone, very dear to me, wondered momentarily, if things have awareness... if energy has awareness... Of course, I could not answer, as all serious questions pretty well, put me a state of happy laughter and mirth... The idea of 'a question and questioning ' being so humorous... so incongruous with 'present and presence'. Just see, what we humans have been deemed (and doomed) to relinquish...: Being immediately evident, knowing evidence without medium, just direct being, 'immediated'. The human / divine The human divines (verb) ('Divine' and 'deity' from the Aryan root DIW...to shine) No question... No questions whatsoever no more... Oh, I hear the 'retort' that we have senses to find out, to search, to query, to question, to quest. The retort that our sense faculties are a proof of 'not knowing', of 'having to ask', to 'wonder why and how.' Ah, not so! So, not so! So verily verily not so! Our faculties are extensions of our wonder, awe and admiration. Our senses... instruments of our combined creation of time and space. Our senses enable us to playfully slow down 'immediacy' into that wonderful extended-ness of the temporal; to expand the directness of oneness into the myriad of spatial representations of energy in any form of simplicity and complexity. Our senses, to savour and beholding each and every aspect of energy formation and in-formation, To see and be seen To hear and be heard To taste and be savoured To behold and be beholden, To smell and besmolden... :-) Enabling us to stroke, listen to, view, savour and smell the presence (grace) and present (gift), in time and space of each possible manifestation of energy... each particular radiance of energetic glory... No question, just the splendoured touch of love, the beloved. Not to question the presence and present of love... Being in grace and gratitude... Being grace and gratitude. Our human faculties... not to question... our faculty to admire - in wonder... The senses... the extension of our expression of love, the extension of us being impressed by love.... .... ... ... Awareness, consciousness... The fact that we talk about those topics, points to the unfortunate occurrence that we have been fundamentally questioned in and on our divinity, which caused us to henceforth built massive thought structures and belief systems to re-cognize and reclaim our divinity and divination. Anyway, Mark your poem reminded me of me being a grain of sand on a sandy beach in California near San Francisco, some 25 years ago, being in awe of being... Knowing the waves, knowing the sun, the light, the delight of being, knowing the water, knowing my neighbouring fellow grains of sands, our combined efforts to impact on the waves, the water's response to us... All that accommodation... Ah what love play in a grain of sand, what lovely strokes of water's caressing... May your need for redemption dissolve... Love you, Mark... Love you, Mira... How's Holland's weather, can you weather it... Guest guest
Congratulations with the wedding! I've been living in Haarlem for 5 years and know the town well - nice, as was (perhaps still is) the road to the beach (Bloemendaal & Zandvoort) - we used it for moped races Near Bloemendaal, nature is great for a walk - protected area. Guest guest
Dear Mark, Ah a Dutch wedding... in a wonderful medieval city hall... Have you been in that old church yet, in the center of town, heard the organ play? Have you been to any concerts with baroque music played on original instruments yet? Did you like the Frans Hals museum? Have you been to the (newer) St. Bavo Cathedral yet? Have you visited the ruined castle nearby? (I forget the name.) How is your Dutch accent coming along, do you eat enough Dutch chocolate? And do you brush your teeth with Prodent tandpasta? Next time I go to Holland you can count on me visiting you... My mother will come to Canada again next year, so I'm afraid that I won't be able to come to your wedding... That is ... so far... who knows what happens... I come from Delft, another fine Dutch town... How do you like the flower markets? What about Hollandse gezelligheid, gebakjes en taartjes... Are you sure you eat enough deserts... Dutch apple-sauce and appeltaart. When you wrote about the "1+1 makes 3" a little while ago, what did you mean? Did you mean what I understood? If you understand what I mean? I realize, all these are questions... from a guy who professes not to have any... I must be laughing my head off by now... Actually, silly questions are allowed, it's the serious ones that are the cause of my mirth. Love, Mark and Mira... Wim. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. (I forget the name.) ......missed this one too....mira is going to get in trouble.....haarlem is her home town..... > How is your Dutch accent coming along, do you eat enough Dutch chocolate? ......my dutch is coming along with an american accent as rich as dutich chocolate! > And do you brush your teeth with Prodent tandpasta? ja, ik tanda borstela met prodent! > Next time I go to Holland you can count on me visiting you... .....may be living in Den Haag by then as the F & B of Des Indes..... > My mother will come to Canada again next year, so I'm afraid that I won't be > able to come to your wedding... .....life has a funny way of changing our plans....i was supposed to be in the US right now....but here i am....or is here i am not... > That is ... so far... who knows what happens... > I come from Delft, another fine Dutch town... > How do you like the flower markets? > What about Hollandse gezelligheid, gebakjes en taartjes... > Are you sure you eat enough deserts...
