each slumbering morning

"Through every age he walks in utter solitude toward penance and redemption."

-Evan S. Connell,

Jr.

each slumbering morning

i awake as silver water

effortless beneath azure sky

dreaming again of redemption

each morning something new

a shiftless cloud still riveted

motionless within blue heaven

chaos defining perfection

what cruel tide polishing these

salty sands into sweetest tears

silver water into purple sunrise

moody clouds into amber fluidity

each morning something old

eternity sounds a fresh wind

indigo rain sailing through golden shards

a sinful world redefines a goddess

on the seashore of endless dawns

i awake as lapping white sand

effortless in its soft shifting

god humbled mirroring brightest heaven

still waters paint an azure canopy

meeting the horizon in a seamless kiss

reality fades into divinity

clouds refine water as waves refine sand

as rain my beloved pours through heaven

holy water absolving penitential sands

as remorselessly as tears from heaven

immortally, my dark one, eternally

each morning, beloved, i dissolve in you

My dear Mark,

One of your finest... that is, if we can still and need to grade the

sublime...!

Your poem stands out so much for me.

The talk lately here, has been about consciousness, awareness.

(-: of course, that figures :-)

Someone, very dear to me, wondered momentarily, if things have awareness...

if energy has awareness...

Of course, I could not answer, as all serious questions pretty well, put me

a state of happy laughter and mirth... The idea of 'a question and

questioning ' being so humorous... so incongruous with 'present and

presence'.

Just see, what we humans have been deemed (and doomed) to relinquish...:

Being immediately evident,

knowing evidence without medium,

just direct being,

'immediated'.

The human / divine

The human divines (verb)

('Divine' and 'deity' from the Aryan root DIW...to shine)

No question...

No questions whatsoever no more...

Oh, I hear the 'retort' that we have senses to find out, to search, to

query, to question, to quest.

The retort that our sense faculties are a proof of 'not knowing', of 'having

to ask', to 'wonder why and how.'

Ah, not so!

So, not so!

So verily verily not so!

Our faculties are extensions of our wonder, awe and admiration.

Our senses... instruments of our combined creation of time and space.

Our senses enable us to playfully slow down 'immediacy' into that wonderful

extended-ness of the temporal; to expand the directness of oneness into the

myriad of spatial representations of energy in any form of simplicity and

complexity.

Our senses, to savour and beholding each and every aspect of energy

formation and in-formation,

To see and be seen

To hear and be heard

To taste and be savoured

To behold and be beholden,

To smell and besmolden...

:-)

Enabling us to stroke, listen to, view, savour and smell the presence

(grace) and present (gift), in time and space of each possible manifestation

of energy... each particular radiance of energetic glory...

No question, just the splendoured touch of love, the beloved.

Not to question the presence and present of love...

Being in grace and gratitude...

Being grace and gratitude.

Our human faculties... not to question...

our faculty to admire - in wonder...

The senses... the extension of our expression of love, the extension of us

being impressed by love....

.... ... ...

Awareness, consciousness...

The fact that we talk about those topics, points to the unfortunate

occurrence that we have been fundamentally questioned in and on our

divinity, which caused us to henceforth built massive thought structures and

belief systems to re-cognize and reclaim our divinity and divination.

Anyway, Mark your poem reminded me of me being a grain of sand on a sandy

beach in California near San Francisco, some 25 years ago, being in awe of

being...

Knowing the waves, knowing the sun, the light, the delight of being, knowing

the water, knowing my neighbouring fellow grains of sands, our combined

efforts to impact on the waves, the water's response to us... All that

accommodation...

Ah what love play in a grain of sand, what lovely strokes of water's

caressing...

May your need for redemption dissolve...

Love you, Mark...

Love you, Mira...

How's Holland's weather, can you weather it...

Love, Wim

Congratulations with the wedding! I've been living in Haarlem for 5 years and

know the town well - nice, as was (perhaps still is) the road to the beach

(Bloemendaal & Zandvoort) - we used it for moped races :) Near Bloemendaal,

nature is great for a walk - protected area.

Dear Mark,

Ah a Dutch wedding... in a wonderful medieval city hall...

Have you been in that old church yet, in the center of town, heard the organ

play?

Have you been to any concerts with baroque music played on original

instruments yet?

Did you like the Frans Hals museum?

Have you been to the (newer) St. Bavo Cathedral yet?

Have you visited the ruined castle nearby? (I forget the name.)

How is your Dutch accent coming along, do you eat enough Dutch chocolate?

And do you brush your teeth with Prodent tandpasta?

Next time I go to Holland you can count on me visiting you...

My mother will come to Canada again next year, so I'm afraid that I won't be

able to come to your wedding...

That is ... so far... who knows what happens...

I come from Delft, another fine Dutch town...

How do you like the flower markets?

What about Hollandse gezelligheid, gebakjes en taartjes...

Are you sure you eat enough deserts... Dutch apple-sauce and appeltaart.

When you wrote about the "1+1 makes 3" a little while ago, what did you

mean? Did you mean what I understood? If you understand what I mean?

I realize, all these are questions... from a guy who professes not to have

any...

I must be laughing my head off by now...

Actually, silly questions are allowed, it's the serious ones that are the

cause of my mirth.

Love, Mark and Mira... Wim.

.....hmmm....mira never recommended it, so no.....been to the musuems in

amsterdam....including the van gogh....all the famous pix were stolen and never

recoverd a few years ago just like in the movies....

> Have you been to the (newer) St. Bavo Cathedral yet?

......yes, the church is in deep trouble in holland....when the doors are not

locked there is a warden there to collect a few for entrance during non-worship

hours....as a practicing rc....this makes me sad....rome will have to wake up

soon.....st. bavo does not even have a priest at present.....

......missed this one too....mira is going to get in trouble.....haarlem is her

home town.....

chocolate!

non-duality in my teens.....at present i am realizing that the void is really a

trinity.....two become one plus one and a child is born....or two unit to become

something new....higher consciousness arises when the masculine and feminine

within each of us, the anima and the animus are mystically reunited.....let's

see, another way to say this is....eros and phylia arise into agape....mind and

heart arise into compassion and a noble warrior is born.....the circle of love

is completed only when a duality reconciled arises as something new and fresh in

the world.....or, when something new and fresh as in the holy spirit or a

bodhisattva descends again in compassion.....when true lovers unit a beloved

arises.....they become one beloved mirrored in each others eyes.....

> I realize, all these are questions... from a guy who professes not to have

> I must be laughing my head off by now...

who is laughing whose head off....even if you have convinced yourself you are

not here, i am more certain that you most certainly are and are one of god's

gifts to a humanity that is arising into divinity however slowly and

painfully.....even you ego is still quite healthy wimje....better get out your

hammer and nails and pound it onto the cross one more time.....the illusion that

we are enlightened is the greatest delusion of them all unless the symbol is

understood in terms of relativity.....if the perceiver and the perceived are

one, what is the difference between the lover and the beloved.....higher

consciousness/higher love.....creation is arising methinks!

> Actually, silly questions are allowed, it's the serious ones that are the

> cause of my mirth.

yes, life in the beloved is a continuous stream of bliss.....with or without

questions to which there only answers that are not answers but only deeper

questions disguised as answers.....the heresies that men do leave are hated most

by those they did deceive i wrote in a poem a long time ago.....^^~~~~~

Yep, a shortage of laborours there... That is the case in Holland

anyway...not only the church... Just try to find a good brick layer these

days... making straight the way of the lord...

> > And do you brush your teeth with Prodent tandpasta?

Nice accent...

Ah, the Hotel des Indes! When I used to ride to school on my bicycle, I

would always pass that Hotel. It figures in my realization story...

I will visit you, if only for the deserts...

A womb yes indeed...,

Will write more on that soon.

One womb, one humankind,

We are brothers Mark, twins, my monastic name is Didymus...

> > "1+1 makes 3"

No we are not twins, we are triplets,

No we are not triplets we are quadruplets...

No we are no....

How many individuations are there?

Millions? We are milliontuplets

Billions? We are Billiontuplets

Zillions? We are Zilliontuplets

Or... Zilch divided by Zillions?

Infinite simpleton

Yet that's it!

Ain't much to it!

> it is really quite simple

How we could not agree is beyond me!

> > I realize, all these are questions...

Absolutely... Mark, we do understand each other fully !!!

> and are one of god's gifts to a humanity that is arising into divinity

however slowly and painfully.....

The protraction and pain elements dissolve as all illusion melts away within

the light divine.

> the illusion that we are enlightened is the greatest delusion of them all

Just as much as the illusion that there is something fundamentally the

matter with us!

> unless the symbol is understood in terms of relativity.....

> if the perceiver and the perceived are one,....

That is relativity and QED (Quantum Electro Dynamics) unified.

We realize realization, we have no choice but...!

QED (Quod Erat Demonstrandum)

Which was to be demonstrated

Love, Mark ... Wim
