Guest guest
Hi JB, An honest enquiry (by its very definition) reflects on one's own burdens of assumptions and judgments. An enquiry that is already laden with presuppositions dictates the movement of energy in a particular direction. That is why people are going here and there. Searching for gurus, spiritual teachers, investigating games people play, etc. A mature aspirant knows that an honest enquiry can be nothing else than Self-enquiry. Enquiring about anything else takes your look away from where you already are. Here is what I wrote earlier. Stay where you are. See where you are. Look, without looking away, from where the Look emanates. This is the direct method if one can grasp it and stay with it. Sri Ramana used to say that the Guru Is Grace. Always Present As Your Own Self. When infatuation with words, methods, techniques, and practices drops in awareness, attention becomes automatically focused on its Source with utterly overwhelming power. The Self Is Revealed as Complete and Total Immediacy that is not different than where you already are and who you already are.
