Guest guest
Someone wrote to me about the constitution of "me", what "me" is: > ... the apperception, which sees that judgments, > qualifications, characterizations, are what makes up the "me" > and it is this "wiring" of the "me", which generates "my" world. > And since this "me" which is a bundle of judgments, qualifications, > characterizations, comes and goes, along with it's world, there > cannot be any existential reality to that "me" or it's world. I answered: What you identify as the "me" and "my world" is really a *peer* (other) created pseudo "me" in a *peer* (other) created pseudo "my" world. Your "me" is really an amalgam of *projections* consisting of judgments, qualifications, characterizations, as placed on "I" by others from the moment of birth. The "me" as you describe it, is really the "them" as they pass the buck(et) of judgments, etc. to you and have you hold it. That buck(et) is cleverly labeled with the word "me," but this "me" has nothing to do with "I" as this "me" was created by others than "I", socially forced upon "I" under duress, in an attempt to replace the real and authentic free self. When others make up someone else's mind this way, a pseudo "I" is illusively formed and seems more real than Self. This "me" means, "I am beside myself..." > ...> any attempt for the "me" to dissolute itself, > would be like > trying to pull yourself by your boot straps. > > You are the very weight you are trying to lift. Nope, it is possible... I have done it successfully, my clients do the same by applying the "other" paradigm... It is not only possible, it works... as this "me" does not exist apart from the hold of someone else (peer or power abuser) on "my" mind. Their spell or curse or sentence can easily be dispelled... no bootstrap problems... it is neat how this works... Love, Wim --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Aggregate of form (body and all material elements) Aggregate of feeling ( an aspect of mind) Pleasureable, unpleasureable and indifferent feeling, Aggregate of perception (an aspect of mind) Perception of things animate or inanimate Aggregate of mental factors. Basically fifty-two kinds, including anger, mindfulness, greed, love and calm etc. Aggregate of consciousness Ear consciousness, eye, tongue, nose, body and mind consciousness. Concepts are ideas about a situation as opposed to the ultimate dharmas that can be directly experienced. Conceptual dharmas includes all concepts, notions, ideas, names such as my son, womans voice, horse-cart etc. All concepts are for convenience but are not the ultimate objects of our experience and as such are not used as objects of contemplation that is aimed at understanding reality. Now you are all yawning so I'll go back to lurking. But should anyone have found a permanent "me"-I'll be happy to hear about it.
