Guest guest
Several months ago I provided the list with a link to the 'Salvia Divinorum Research & Information Center'. http://sagewisdom.org/ Salvia is a legal herb with a long history of use by Mexican shamans used for 'vision quests' and spiritual healing. I had several sessions with unfortified leaf shortly after I provided the link to the list with mixed results. Recently I have experienced several sessions with a fortified extract that I have prepared myself. The result of the extract is about 6 x more potent than regular, unfortified leaf. To help quench anyone's curiosity about the herb I have decided to share the first entry of my 'Salvia Diary'. This is the account of my first session with a fortified extract (which lasted about 10 minutes). All in all, it's become apparent that this herb might indeed offer remarkable healing potential for *some* seekers. Anyway, if anyone does experience a resonance to court the spirit of Salvia Divinorum, do not, under any circumstance do so without serious study and preparation. For a comprehensive compilation of other user's experince with Salvia see http://www.erowid.org/experiences/subs/exp_Salvia_divinorum.shtml Blessings, David 9/27/01 [early morning] 6x Hawaiian Extract on Mexican leaf 1 hit – Level 5 [1-6 scale] Most intense experience yet. Began with the “point” of my awareness “located” in my head getting “stuck” or “frozen” off center [up and to the right] to where I focused my eyes/awareness. Found this slightly annoying and caught myself repositioning my head in attempt to “recenter”. I quickly learned this was a futile approach and simply relaxed which “recentered” that little “spot” of awareness located in the head. Then there was folding, linear energy on each side [right & left] folding upward/inward. Sensed it as a form of conscious awareness with an overall neutral attitude toward me. It pulsed/folded to a 7 beat rhythm. Like the “all good children go to heaven.” rhyme. Heard/felt the words “but he can’t go” on the “go to heaven” beat portion as I was floating in between the conscious folding energy on both sides and slipping further and further away (inward?) from my body. “He” was a reference to my body, which I felt quite distant from, and I felt myself as a conscious, amorphous, abstract ‘something’, but not solid. As with previous sessions, I attempted to hold onto the experience to bring back with me when I would return so I could make sense of it then. During the session, I am always certain that I will indeed return and experience no fear about getting stuck “there”. Upon returning, the experience once again proves to be too bizarre and abstract to “bring” back with me, much like with bizarre, abstract dreams that defy all our conventional ways of understanding in ordinary, waking reality. In exploring and contemplating the deviation between ordinary waking reality and Salvia’s reality [post session] I find myself reintrigued with the true nature of who I am on a more intense level/burning. The metaphor I can use for this is how each of our eyes, spaced slightly apart “compute” or infer distance of what we look at without either eye revealing distance individually. [distance corresponding to truth, god, who I am, whatever] With ordinary reality and “altered” reality, of course, corresponding to each of our respective eyes. Similarly, tragic events and sudden disruptions in life are also known to yield deeper insight into the nature of the world and who we are.
