Guest guest
Hi again Jan, Well, I sure am a dumbnuts about this stuff, but am ready to learn. <The amount of energy at the disposal of a mind-body is finite as at its death it is zero and inbetween are all cases of disease.. >>>>>>>>>> Well, I guess you would have to believe that death is a zero, and that there really was an inbetween. I think life is Life and death is an unavoidable illusion. If life is life, then there can be no death, for Life is untouched by physical death. What do you think? <Transformation pertains to the mind-body, the Self cannot realize the Self. A mind-body is born with a potential for fear, shame, guilt, embarrassment, envy etc. and this isn't a recipe for unconditional happiness. The removal of that potential requires energy - life-energy... >>>>>>>>>>>>> Whow! your kidding me! The Self (in caps), cannot be Self realised! Jeeze I am in deep shit. Yes, energy is required in all things-but what is without energy? <After apperception it is possible to become aware of the distribution of this this energy>>>>>>> Sorry, you lost me already. Appreciation of what? <When the energy isn't fully spent, it will find another outlet - one that eventually dissolves all potential that could generate the least sense of separateness - literally.>>> I have been looking at this sentence from all angles. Still do not figure it out What is this energy that dissolves all potentials? Surely energy is all potential. Maybe you mean conscious redirection of energy, and not spent energy. In which case it would not be spent energy. Are you writing about karmic energy? Well, thats a whole other issue I could yap about. <The "critical" phase is one, often of seclusion and bliss, giving rise to many a devotional work - examples of that abound.>>>> So thats not a good thing then? <After that phase, as no more energy can "leak" through the removed potential(s), happiness is "default", energy is abundant (but still finite). >>>>> Who removed the potentials? Is there something going on here I should no about? Who said my happiness is a *default*, and how do we get from abundance to finite, just cuz Im happy? <The Buddha called this "nirvana with substratum remaining". A kind of "must" for a happy relationship as there is no more potential for attachment to it. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I get this. Yes. No substratum of conditionality. Just love. Jan, I no little of this yoga stuff, so be patient with me. I know that relationships are tough going for most of us. Yet this whole loving universe is relating to itself through dynamic laws of attraction. This attraction works within us and through us as love. Love is the attractant of all things. When the conditioned mind (lets call it the ego), seeks love, it seeks by provision. It must provide for itself what it feels that it lacks. So, it cannot give completely, for its reality is scarcity. It must seek more, for it believes it is unwhole. Which of course, it is. The reality though, is that everything is a wholeness of love. There is no lack in a healed heart. No conditions to be set. No games to be played but love itself. As always the medicine is in the place that the illness is. The heart of awareness. <Peace, Jan>>>>>>>>>> Yes peace to you Jan, and peace to all lovers. Love is still the wonder and miracle of this life. We learn by it, we grow by it, we live within it, but we can never die from it. For it is inexhaustible. love eric. A mind-body is equipped with a finite amount of it, once spent it can't be renewed. >>>>>>>> am not clear what you mean here. In my view, energy is total and indivisible, being the flow of spirit. Whilst this flow resonates at different levels to vibrate on the planes of consciousness and substance, even so, it can never be finite, just transformed. The mind-body, simply becomes an other vibrational reality of spirit. Maybe I am misreading your meaning here though. The amount of energy at the disposal of a mind-body is finite as at its death it is zero and inbetween are all cases of disease.. Etc. etc. etc. What could be one conclusion of that? Perhaps, that there is a perspective where the intellectual "mumbo jumbo" is moot, irrelevant? You bet! Knowing that perspective, no incentive for discussions has been left - intellectualizations and discussions do not "deliver". That won't fill the books but i don't have to Nor do i have to learn from them Understanding the law of gravity neither makes an apple fall any better nor can prevent it falling from the tree Peace, Jan
