Guest guest
Dear Nina, have you noticed how great dancers seem to defy gravity? Just for a breathless pause, just for a transcendent instant. I guess it takes decades of work to be able to fly like that. Yet even an artless dancer can move in a way that seems to be a wellspring of grace. They forget themselves and so they remember the dance. Make any sense? I have two left feet, and a dyslexic brain, but love still makes me dance, when I let go of trying. smiles and love eric. , ErcAshfrd@a... wrote: > We have no song to sing that is ours alone. These are "danceforms" that I have been working with, "researching", one might say... the basis of choreography. Last night's class was taught by the students, the phrase brought over from last week improvised upon. 8 counts of the "known" thrown out to pairs to improvise 8 counts upon. The "creations" were as varied as the pairs. Where were these movements "plucked" from? From something a student has "learned" from a teacher? Or from something internal to the form of the body, the allowable range, the momentum of movement, the potential for change? "What do I want to emulate?" vs. "What naturally comes next?" The truest, smoothest choreography seems to naturally come next. > Windfall, flux and flotsam. > The ecstatic and towering, > the flecks of mud upon your shoes. > All twinkle in loves eye. > Rub your eyes and stamp your feet > this is Holy ground. > Everything is expressing your perfection. Exactly... warmly, Nina /join All paths go somewhere. No path goes nowhere. Paths, places, sights, perceptions, and indeed all experiences arise from and exist in and subside back into the Space of Awareness. Like waves rising are not different than the ocean, all things arising from Awareness are of the nature of Awareness. Awareness does not come and go but is always Present. It is Home. Home is where the Heart Is. Jnanis know the Heart to be the Finality of Eternal Being. A true devotee relishes in the Truth of Self-Knowledge, spontaneously arising from within into It Self.
