Guest guest
Hi everyone, I'm back (again). I just couldn't stay away! :-) It's nice to see all the old names, and a few new ones as well. I came across this today: "Surrender has nothing to do with reminding yourself every moment to let go. Surrender is the result of realizing that you were never attached to anything at any moment." -- Andrew Cohen love, gill

What happened to the sadhana of Surrender? Andrew must be describing Andrew's Surrender, at least I hope so, as any other conclusion renders both language and logic meaningless. I know, I know...I get the idea, but it seems such a silly thing to say. As an unequivocal admirer of his fine magazine, what Is Enlightenment(www.WIE.com), it's my pleasure to give Andrew a wide pass and assume he was speaking, in this instance, from the state beyond the opposites, and is hence rendered transcendant to the logic of verbal meaning. In the meantime, the rest of us should practice reminding ourselves every moment that we are 'already' surrendered, just as Da and others keep asserting that we should recognize that we are 'already Realized'. Of course, if we're 'already Realized', then, we must ask what happened to the 'sadhana' of Realization, eh? then it must follow that...splut, splut...vnd, vnd, vnd...splut...arghhh! yours in the bonds, eric
Guest guest
Hi Eric, I hadn't looked at it like that, but I see what you mean ... it's like the old 'you need do nothing'. I don't think he was intending to be prescriptive, but maybe that's just my interpretation of it. Thanks for the url, I'll check it out. gill > In other words, Surrender is Realization. > > Alright.
