I should like to walk in the autumn woods to day, but I am going for a

walk on my beloved moors, where trees are scarce. Is that a jug of

wiskey next to the

log fence? Long time since I got drunk in the woods!

Thanks. From a tree loving, autumn loving, leaf loving, whisky loving fool.

love

eric.

Often i take a hike where i wouldn't take any visitor - along the muflon trails,

at places where life is so harsh that animals living there will eat orange peels.

Places where it's so silent that the body (breathing, heart beating) is noisy..

Volcanos and an arid alpine climate - that too on this small subtropical isle :)

Peace,

Jan

That can be a wonderful experience !

I once had the opportunity to take a walk on an island in the high

arctic. After a while of walking I kept wondering what the loud noise

going in the background was, since everything else was quiet (no

vegetation to dampen sounds and no houses or ppl, just stone and

craggy hills). Realizing that the loud noise was the sound of my own

heart and breathing was quite a surprise. The moment was eloquent of

being alive. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to gab about this

moment. :)

Love,

Amanda.

Oh yes - especially at night, under the stars, when even the few daytime

activities

have ceased..

My pleasure Amanda...

The Aurora Borealis has to be a great event too - apart from the sight,

there is sound which, in the absence of other sounds, has to be loud..

Peace,

Jan
