Guest guest
Dear Amanda, I remember one time when my kids and I were hiking in the mountains of Spessart. Suddenly the younger boy, Laurin, then four, says, "Stop, daddy, listen!" There isn't much you can hear in the middle of nowhere, so I say, "What is it, Laurin?" He says, "Can't you hear it, daddy?" I say again, "No, what is it?" He replies, "The silence. The silence is very loud here."
