Guest guest
The Hardest Thing What is the hardest thing a person can do? One difficult thing, is to do nothing. To meditate, To sit within the silence of you alone. To let go of doing. Most people would rather chop down a forest with a blunt penknife, then spend a day in silent sitting. Activity is the easiest thing we can do. Yet without the art of still abiding, all activity is without foundation. Maybe this is the hardest thing to do. Yet there are others. To be compassionate with ourselves. This is a hard thing to do. To live in self forgiveness. To understand the wellspring of this humanness, and love it without reservation. To be kind to ourselves, knowing that it is only through this acceptance that we can allow others as this self. This is a hard thing. Maybe the hardest thing is to learn how to suffer without suffering. To be the passion of this life yet distanced from the it. Not to be more fuel for the fire of this world. This is a very hard thing. It is also hard to be always wrong, and not to care. To follow this process and give no mind to the way of others. Hard also to care nothing of your opinions and beliefs, and to honor others beliefs as your own. Hard to be authentic to only the heart as it moves you to live within it. Not an easy thing. And yet, I have found the hardest thing to do is not be a question. Such as these inquiries of the intellect I hide within my soul. This valuing of what is a hard thing and what an easy thing, means there is still a hardness in this thing, I keep as mine. A hard thing that seeks to question that rightful expression to be loves perfect answer. To be an answer. Letting go of all this. To die to all this. Yes, I think maybe this is the hardest thing to do. love eric. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> All works and compositions found on the page submitted by ErcAshfrd (AT) aol (DOT) com Are the Copyright of E.
