Guest guest
Dear Harsha: Sorry I was late. In my defense I was working. I greatly enjoyed the chat tonight especially your chanting, Linda's warm sharing, Diana's stong gentle sensibilities, and Ericji's cool darshan. There was a kind of pile of space there that was inspiring. Love Bobby G. , "Harsha" <harsha-hkl@h...> wrote: > OK everyone. Bobby did show up and is getting ready to sing in the next 5 > minutes. For those who were not there, Bobby was gracious enough to sing upon our request the old Hank Williams Senior country tune "Your cheating heart will make you weep, you try and try and try to sleep.................." It was breathtaking and beautiful. The range of Bobby's voice is incredible. Even a music expert as Sri Ericji stated that it was quite moving. Thanks for all the friendship and fellowship. Guest guest
Harsha, Bobby & Friends, For me Chatting via the Internet is an odd somewhat disjointed experience, esp. as I didn't have a microphone, but it was fascinating and enjoyable to finally put voices to some of the speakers I've been enjoying for the last couple of months. I hope all is well with all of you. I've been kind of busy with my own affairs recently, as well as taken up not only by the aftermath and news of our world stage follow up to the tragedy of Sept 11. I have been interested not only in the events, but also my own, sometimes seemingly irrational reactions to them. It seems to be a kind of turning point for me, but to say more at this time would probably be premature (or just im-mature), heh, heh, heh. Harsha, I relate to your remarks that you've told stories in the past that are in the archives. Perhaps, you should review some of your older material and represent it for those of us who weren't here at the time. I enjoy the archives, but haven't found a way to access them in any sensible or organized way. I used them originally when I started getting involved here as a way to see what the personalities and subject matter were like at the beginning when the list was just putting itself together. Glo, Harsha, Jerry(from NondualitySalon) and Shri Berkow were there in younger and sometimes decidedly different manifestations, and the contrast was enjoyable. Maybe a best of the archives is in order, Harsha, at least as seen thru your eyes, or for that matter, anyone else who has watched things develope and grow as the list has matured. Certainly, personal stories would be a potent magnet and could bring a lot of charm and natural interest...the human touch behind the occasional impersonality of the nondual perspective. Maybe, something like this could be an interesting feature for your magazine, Harsha? Earlier, you asked us to contribute any thoughts we might have as to haow to improve the list. I have felt the need for dialogue where the subject maintains consistency over time, and isn't just exhausted by a few arguments and observations before the attention of the list moves on to a new interest. I'm not sure how such a thing could be best organized, or whether there is sufficient interest out there. Perhaps, some of you might give us your own ideas of the subject. Just some thoughts. yours in the bonds, eric , "Harsha" <harsha-hkl@h...> wrote: > > bgbbyg@a... Guest guest
Oh, I have to admit I am so jealous of you all having this lovely time together. I am going to have to go get a sound card and all that other stuff for my computer so I can join you. Guest guest
Dear Eric, Aww, I missed you...darn. For goodness sakes, buy a microphone! You can get them for around $10-20. This is finally the answer to my poor typing skills! You bring up some more good ideas. What sort of topics might you like to see a sustained discussion about? Also, it just so happens that I am a collector of the sort of old posts you inquired about, and am especially fond of people's personal stories. Since these wonderful people are sometimes too humble to re-post their own stories, I suppose I could help out. We have a lot of new members now who haven't heard them lately. So if people want them, I can send an oldies, but goodies post once in a while. New stories would be great for the magazine!
