Guest guest
Namaste All, Old Karl said that under Communism the family would weaken and so would religion, as people became more comfortable. This didn't really happen under the distortions of communism practised in China and Soviet Union etc, but it has happened in the capitalist world. Strange the effects of materialism on the mind and spirituality. People seem to operate on their immediate needs, and then project into a future of more possessions. Most of the world is based on the illusion of living on earth with another life in heaven. Death and sickness are hidden in the West So there seems no need for spirituality, unless one is down and on the ropes. I've always thought that if Marx had given a spiritual dimension to his communism it would have been the best system.....ONS.....Tony.
