Guest guest
Namaste All, I find it interesting that baboons memories are long. A baboon was killed by a motorist one day and the car took off. Seemingly the baboons noticed this and waited in ambush for some days. When the culprit and car appeared again, they ambushed it with rocks causing it to crash and the driver be killed. So examining this, two points come to mind. 1. Revenge is a basic feeling common to animals, for they have only a potentiality in awareness sheaths, even if they have a glimmer. 2. There is perhaps a glimmer of self awareness and an understanding that there is a future. Killing the driver didn't bring the dead baboon back, but in a primitive animal way it was a threat to others attacking the tribe. This tribalism sees the baboons as one group and then there are the others. If only they could speak, they would be much like us.......ONS.
