Guest guest
Hi Lynette.. ~~ Does anyone know any resource to read, to meditate on, and perhaps discover the real meanings of what Jesus taught... The real "lifestyles" of the time that have been miscommunicated down thru the centuries... Perhaps a good historical fact book on the lives and times of that particular time period. It seems to be an important question for me at the moment, since it keeps popping up everywhere I go. In addition to the good resources you have received, I'll add a few in the area of history... and for fun.. a brilliant, heretical novel which makes you think, and portrays a facet of the culture. >From what I've read, each scholarship position on this topic is frought with heavy opposition. You might look at this book (with Amazon's new feature, you can read 33 pages online). From the reviews, it seems the first two chapters might hold some of what you are looking for (at least historically).
