Guest guest
On the Shoulders of a Demon In suffering we stumble on In blindness, we do seek Unravel mysteries abroad Inward hell we keep. Dwelling on the sacred pot Outcast our hearts from thee As suffering the tender hot Too warm our touch indeed. Release the shame of tender wrought Upon our heads to blame Every little trouble brought More suffering, our soul to tame. No demon set without our soul The same as judgement's god A vision of penny bold Not worth the cents we trod. Face to face the demon me Release a burden great And shouldered on, no more to be, In arms of image hate. The demon voice, I did not quake As suffering burden placed And tears of blessed joy abate And knowing bliss replaced.
