Hello Lynette,

To both this and your second post (in which you moderated your response),

let me say that although l hardly think my post terrorized anyone, l agree

with you that it was a bit harsh in tone, which l regret. The events

surrounding Sept 11 were unprecedented in the history of both this country

and our planet, and they have evoked strong feelings.

 

Let me also say that the thing about me

is not that l don't see other points of view. As l noted in my post, in may

respects l share the political orientation of those who are critical of the

US. My thing is that l always know l'm right.

l

understand that Harsha restricted postings about this subject after Sept 11,

which, if true, was probably wise. l got into some pretty heated exchanges on

a list where views were expressed (including by the moderater herself) that l

found to be outrageous, and then l left that list.

 

There are times when events around us are of such magnitude

that they can't be avoided in discussion, and when that happens a crisis is

presented for a list as well as for everyone else. l know l struggle with

honoring my own feelings and integrity while at the same time trying to

respect others. At such times a wise and compassionate leader like Harsha is

worth his weight in gold.

l didn't rejoin this list

in order to discuss issues surrounding the terrorists, although l know mine

fields may be ahead. l hope we can all find common ground in talking about

what is in our hearts. Thank you for your posts.
