In danger of stating the obvious, gentlemen, doing that kind of facing is hard, really really hard, but ever so more admirable in those who do. I think it's possible to do that kind of face off with oneself, without turning it into self hatred or self denigration, or the opposite, hedonism and irresponsibility.
