Guest guest
Dear tg I love conundrums... Love is of course unconditional, except for one condition...: if it is not unconditional it is not love. Oh, I love conundrums... Love is of course unconditional, except... we are most of the time not in a condition to see it. Another conundrum... Love is of course our condition, except... it is like water around a fish, we don't even feel that it keeps us suspended. Let's see if we can find more: Love is of course our only condition, it goes without saying, except... we think that if we don't say it that it ain't there. ........... If we give someone the benefit of the doubt... may it be love first that we recognize... Love was the first thing I noticed when I was born... and I never not noticed it ever since... Love, tg, Wim
Guest guest
Happy New Year Wim and All! I love conundrums... Had to get ye' old pocket dictionary out for that one. It's my new word of the day. Thanks! I like riddles, but they make my head hurt at times, even when I come up with them. :-) Yours didn't luckily! I prefer a good ol' joke (Jan, your cue) or a great fun quote. They make me giggle. Thanks for sharing Wim. I especially liked this part: If we give someone the benefit of the doubt... may it be love first that we recognize... Love, xxxtg * Never take life seriously. Guest guest
....for the fun of it...what is life anyway....an abstract noun.....what does it refer to.....the ebb and flow of all matter's communal consciousness in its ceaseless arising....if life is form....then it would seem that most sentient forms take emptiness (i.e., the absence of form) pretty seriously.....so, maybe what this first statement means is more something like, never take life so seriously that you forget to dance along the way.....and the second means something like, since there is not a shred of evidence that life is consistently serious we should not be consistently serious either in our journey to the stars....to everything there is a season, a season for being serious and not serious....yet, on occasion the experience of life can be very serious indeed....the soldiers in afganistan and the starving children trapped between them certainly did no think life was a beach party....both the hunter in pursuit of the wild boar take the game seriously....that is way the way is interesting....the conclusion of the game is not forgone.....the principle of randomness is always present....the concept of play or the game of gambling for high stakes.....death may be inevitable, but the instincts of all sentient creatures prefer to postpone that date as long as possible.....for that matter.....even non-sentient images, i.e, an atom or a virus, resist dissolution.....a particle of dust prefers to return to the glass it was swept from.....all these facts do seem to indicate to some small degree that form and consciousness are serious about existence as we know it.....everything strives upward and inward toward the permanence from which it originally emerged.....even though we can never return home, we all journey home together into an unfolding mystery that is the godhead, that is higher love.....but i do not want to take these ruminations too seriously.....not today, anyway.....^^~~~~~~ further up and further in, white wolfe tg:* Never take life seriously.
