Perhaps, but psychobabble aside, siddhis and communicating with the dearly departed have exactly zero to do with the Self or jnana yoga as it is expounded by Ramana. > Can you speak from experience Jody? I only know of Wim by what he puts up. I didn't know Ramana but I have some comprehension of his teaching, intellectually and experientially. > Have you seen the machine, have you experienced the > machine? I have no experience with the machine, but the very idea of such a machine is dubious in my opinion. And it has nothing to do with jnana yoga whatsoever. > Have you spoke to the dead? Perhaps such things are possible at times, but regardless, they have nothing at all to do with jnana yoga. > I know wim, I do not know Ramana, I have seen the machine, and used the > machine... If you have complete faith in your understanding, it can never be a lie, whether or not it is actually true. > And I dont really think that was your intent, or was it Jody? > > Love, Lynette Of course not. I'm merely suggesting that suggestability might play a role in your understanding. If you are motiviated to believe in Wim's machine because you like Wim and also believe in such things, then the suggestion of its veracity exists in your mind prior to your actually encountering the thing. So when you do, you are predisposed to believe in it, and interpret your experience of it through the lens of this belief.
