Guest guest
hi folks, i am not well-versed in the Eastern terms, and have no strong feelings about siddhis, one way or the other... i am also not a Christian (although raised intensely Catholic)... the Gospels seem to be extremely focused on Jesus's siddhis... some seem specifically self-serving or show-offy.. like changing water to wine at a wedding when they ran out... or walking on water... while the many healings are easier to see that compassion was likely part of the intention... anyway, i suppose that this would cause some of the Eastern-oriented folks to feel that Christianity is a less real or useful path, and i wouldn't even disagree with that... but it is not my position... i don't have one... all i have is this observation, which has not yet been pointed out... i am enjoying the disagreements... not out of any malicious glee... but simply that i am getting to know some of the list members better from their posts... and i find the question being discussed interesting, although many folks are now getting rather repetitious... warmly, percyval
