Actually I pushed the send button too soon by mistake, you may have noticed it ended in mid-thought or in mid-sentence, if you got that far. So yeah, before I could snip... Harsha did put an immediate stop to what you refer to as the slander post from Mark, and you were subsequently "allowed" (?) to threaten legal actions and make your rebuttal, was the main reason that topic continued at all. The reason being it was a personal offlist matter and that it wasn't our business to settle any such allegations. I have no idea what you mean by "first sign of doubt" should have been nipped in the bud. I presume "no sacred cows" to defend here includes you? It certainly seems to include me. The temporary moderators are only asking that we return to our normally scheduled program, at least until Harsha returns. No one will be happier about the end of my duties than me. In the meantime, everyone please save up your complaints and petitions for justice. Everyone can now get out their bill of rights, and study the preamble to the HS constitution, amd form a protest movement, and complain to the other moderators about me if that suits you. Just do it offlist until Harsha gets back. In the meantime, nothing is permanent, nor being made a permanent guideline, and you are all welcome to have at it again when he returns. Anyone can look at the archives and count the posts devoted to this matter and how long it's been going on...it's easier to count the ones NOT.
