Hi everyone,

 

I've got an M C Escher desk calender, and flicking through it I

came across a woodcut of a candle, with the following text:

 

Vivo! Anima trepidans in me absumitur.

 

Ik ben mij zelf: een licht. _Gij vindt

in mij uw eigen lot bepaald.

Blijf aldus niet voort wezen blind,

dat in mijn schijn U tegenstraalt.

 

Can anyone here provide a translation?
