Guest guest
Michael, That's a very good point about gardening. Last year, a friend at work was interested in a more peaceful mind and became interested in Buddhism. She asked me for a few books, and I gave her some nice basic ones. Even so, she found the teachings a bit, um, foreign to her tastes. Instead, she took up a gardening class, and really began to experience more peace. Last year, she would get stressed and throw the phone down when talking to our customers. Now, she's a master gardener according to her graduation certificate, and she's much cooler at work! --Greg At 06:14 PM 1/23/02 +0100, MikeSuesserott wrote: >Dear Gloria, > >your hospitality toward the animal kingdom, even though not be completely >intentional, will be to your credit on the day of reckoning, I am sure... >:-) > >Yes, the moles in my garden do teach me patience and longsuffering, cardinal >virtues no doubt... :-) I could easily poison them, but in the spirit of >ahimsa I don't. > >I very much agree that gardening can be spiritually rewarding as well as >humbling at the same time. > >Warmly, > >Michael > > >-----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- >Von: Gloria Lee [glee] >Gesendet: Tuesday, January 22, 2002 06:04 >An: >Betreff: Re: Hello Everyone! > > >snip >Anyway, I liked your suggested subject of sadhana even better.
