Since I lost my head,

I am the heart of every lover.

I whirl like a dervish

in all your bedroom eyes.

Why even try to play the game of this world,

when we can do all these great moves together?

What if, I said: Lets stop all this talking,

and get seriously holy.

Like one of those Indian saints -

all belly and loincloth?

What if I threw these words down,

and said: No, No time. No time!

Lets just pick up our shoes and dance!

Its no coincidence

that I have fallen for you

in every form I can imagine.

Now I would chase you

into Gods own heart.....

I just don't have faith in theory and practice

only this love remembering,

only this dancing.

I am going down -

Down to the market square to day

to explore every aisle in the WalMart of you.

I am taking a circlet of love

to place on the finger

of every beautiful women I meet,

but don't worry,

if you are old or plain,

or a grey bearded man.

This ring that I have found

will fit any finger

for it belongs to you. My Beloved.

Too much thinking is not an aphrodisiac!

The pill we all need to swallow

is this moments passionate love-play.

Look at it this way,

if I could not be this heart of you

my head would be a dead star to follow.

So lets move in to each other

as I and You.

Just as God does

and just as lovers do.

love

eric
