Guest guest
Dear Harsha, I am already well over the average cave persons life expectancy, but this is not an endorsement for McDonalds! I wonder if fillet steak and fresh salad is the answer? As most people in the world cannot afford to eat like this. Maybe that is why we live longer to analyse our diets. Just jiving with you. love eric. Hello Everyone, Hope you are all well. Enjoying the posts and poetry. In my last two posts, I tried to send some graphic but it did not work. I don't know why? Is anyone else having trouble? A diet making news these days is called the caveman diet. It suggests that if you eat like a caveman (or cavewoman), you will be healthy like a cave person. That pretty much leaves out donuts but they allow raw meat, which does not really seem appealing to most here. The caveman people suggest that vegetarians eat eggs. Guest guest
Hi Harsha and friends, Regarding food, the following rules are used: 1. it has to be alive (fruit, veggies, nuts) 2. only what is ripe is eaten 3. nothing is eaten unless hungry 4. when possible, use the products of the season. 5. use the proper combinations or eat one type/meal Right now, that means grapefruit, oranges, tangerines and bananas for fruit. Spinach, carrots, parsley, red paprika, tomatoes for veggies (fresh herbs have far higher anti-oxidant content then 'normal' veggies like lettuce). And fresh coconuts are available too. The fruit gets pealed and is eaten immediately The veggies and coconut are fed to the juicer and the juice tastes great and dependent on the amount of coconut added, can saturate for a long time. Weight is always about 130 lbs which with height 5' 7" even for a marathon runner is ok. Fasting is rare but happens when having to go to the capital for documents or other official stuff. It is a test whether or not toxins have accumulated. When so, the body will show retention of fluid and a low level of energy - then the fast continues until the waste has been removed. When not, after the official stuff, hunger will be intense and i will visit a market in Santa Cruz on a nice square, where fresh fruits and veggies are sold too. Then i buy some, enjoy the ambience seated on a bench while having late breakfast. If the above sounds rather free instead of disciplined, man is free of course when knowing the laws of nature and intelligently applying - the first of them, taking proper care of the mind-body known best. There isn't any other vessel to reach 'the other shore'. As some dogs at the beach choose me as their playmate instead of their youthful owner, apart from the loud laugh that probably says enough about my fitness. Cavemen had to take care of women and a family which is about the last i would want! Peace, Jan On 2/8/02 at 3:10 PM Harsha wrote: ºHello Everyone, º ºHope you are all well.
