Loves Romance

 

Nothing works but love.

Whatever form you find it in. Work with that.

The sky and sea, the land, and this whole turning cosmos,

dances to loves tune.

We have to get this straight in our heads

and then set up shop in the heart

for the customers and clients,

and even the freeloaders.

Remember you cannot sell anything,

but you can return what has been given to you.

The gift even arrives without being given

because the gift is all there is.

 

Some brave beings disparage the romance of love.

This is dangerous.

The package it comes in is not the gift,

but light has a habit of escaping through any cover,

so it is foolhardy to judge the wrapping,

and think it apart from the content.

Both can be within each other.

 

Its the same story that love brings to you.

The same tune played on a million fiddles.

Make yours a Stradivarius.

We are all desperadoes for romance,

but if we kidnap its meaning

we all end up hostages.

 

Live your truth.

If you are thirsty, drink.

Get romantic with this lovely wine

the world has to offer.

Just do not confine yourself to one label,

vintage or flavor.

Go down to the cellar and slosh about

in the vat within this heart tavern.

Let this wine be your remembrance.

Just as you can still taste and smell

your first sweetheart,

Taste and aroma,

are your surest guides to Loves recollection.

 

When you get drunk like this,

the world will throw off its rags.

All its cheap romantic novels

will turn into contemporary classics.

You shall write each chapter

as hero and heroine.
