Be Invisible.

We have a war against our base self.

It is a war of attrition,

Conducted in secret.

If this battle ground is open to view.

It becomes the egos own pageant.

 

Likewise. it is said:

When you give.

Do not let your right hand know

what your left hand is doing.......

Please don't show your hands in any case.

Such sleight of hand will be your undoing.

 

Its an invisible thing this walk of truth.

So invisible that only truth can see it.

If you have a mantle on that any fool can see,

any fool can see you.

 

What worth is there in a foolish adulation?

You may become the worst of fools -

A foolish teacher.

Better to be a real fool,

one that preaches your ignorance of everything.

Then one day a wise person may take you in

and save you from yourself.

 

If you have something to find,

why go to a seeker?

If you have nothing to say

why say it as if you knew

you had something?

 

Try to disappear in the world.

If truth is looking for you,

you will find it.

Nothing makes you more invulnerable to truth

than defending it.

Lay down your arms

and be invisible

to the upholders of law and righteousness.

 

Find your closet and pray there

and turn none away who would join you.

The moment your gathering becomes a group

walk silently away

to find yourself again.

 

Let nothing own you.

Be like a wind in the desert

following the scent of water.

Travel light.
