Between Gardens

How is your soul garden this morning?

This self inquiry should be made while the dew is still on the grass.

While still between the worlds of soul dreaming,

and daydreaming.

Linger in that restful pre-dawn land

of between here and there.

To become aware of the space of you between both.

Do not leap from one state to an other like a frightened horse.

Stay in the stable, of rests twilight for a few magical moments.

Here you will smell the scent, of the rising sun of you,

but still hold to the moon goddess

that has ridden you through the night.

Stay un-tethered to each, yet touch both like a bridge.

Span through the universe of this moment

and arch across the stream of yourself.

Look down into the flow,

and through that, to immersion and emission.

That deep pool and waterfall,

you now straddle with partings and arrivals.

Stay awhile in this sky field.

This rose garden of you.

How is the garden of your soul this morning?

Do you remember the beautiful nymphs,

or did a thought of fear,

trap you in a hobgoblins lair?

Can you see the flowers nodding still

from your light passage upon your swath

of greening?

Can you smell the fragrance lingering?

Let Sophia’s child take you by the hand for an instant.

For one last nonchalant stroll in your garden fields.

Then rise as a resurrected king of peace

into the bright crowning of the day.

Let the cock crow once

and put upon you its feathers

and be on your awakened way.

love
