Guest guest
Dear Friends, I wrote this poem or another similar version to it about thirty minutes ago, when somehow, my mouse snatched everything away except one line! I turned green and nearly palled. I almost always write straight onto the computer not on paper first. I could barely remember what I'd written. This was the attempt at recalling what I had written. What can one do but laugh? I thought, "Well, okay, Beloved, You didn't care for that version, hm?" Begin again... My Flaming Lover Has come Tonight Across the sky of my longing You appeared tonight, wearing a Flaming Headress of all my slaughtered selves. Each fiery garment sang a eulogy for me from unnumbered holes spilling light from a million, million universes flowing from inside this vision. Turning like Rumi's night of stars inside Your Needle's Eye, every speck and particle of light revealed Your Lotus-Born Self wore every robe of Light as I, I filling the Heart Abiding, inside the endless rounds of existence, inside all yearnings. What fiery worlds colliding brought about this vision? What deep well gave birth to this flowing, burning-away of thirst? Razed like a field by an inferno, what corpsey-seed need rise here? Like a full, ripe-headed blossom, the Sacred Scythe has lopped me off. Cauterized by the the Glance from the Beloved One's Eyes, this tiny lotus-bud unfurls from The Ground Luminosity of Nothing, and fields of Love spring forth like flames reaching towards Heaven. Scattered now past all wanting anything, the fire dies, leaving just a sparkling, living ash. I am become the holy tilak smeared across the Forehead of Shiva, the Kiss of Shakti in the body. No more restless murmurings about another one, another one. Thou Am I. There is no second to offer now upon my funeral pyre. The Ground has Swallowed Up Everyone into the Abundance of Nothing, Nothing, Nothing, Everywhere, Nothing...
