Guest guest
Contemplation's on the workbook lessons of A Course In Miracles. Lesson 3. The past has frozen everything and made a glacier of this moment. What is a suitable vision for you is that which you refuse to melt. What we give to objects becomes our consuming passion. An object of desire or a shroud to hide a phantom within. All things are charged with the emotional content we give to them. Everything an energy field we allow to be the appearance of what Is. All things await your release from death. This moment is the great abeyance from dreams. Stay here beyond fatal understanding, from a perception you would paint upon the now. These associations of the dead are a star chamber of angry judges you allow to condemn you again. The past haunts, only when it is resurrected. This present meaning is beyond jurisprudence and time. It is alive only with a meaning you do not place upon it. Let it live for you beyond your story, Let life disclose itself to you. Where you are. ___________ Lesson 4. The minds dominion, is as a sky full of images viewed from an unlit window. The good, the bad, the fair and the foul all the fancy of forgetfulness. Passing bye. Each thought a phantom of association. Each wagon on this train pulled by the next, Some seem full, others empty of meaning. Yet all are the disregarding of your presence. Look at them all from that hilltop, only the heart of attention commands. Watch this army as a spy, as an undercover agent observes the march of time. Take no notes, and report to no one any significance whatsoever. Clouds cover the moon and the earth, but neither of these are touched by them. The sieve separates the chaff from the wheat, but let your sieve be holy enough to let all things pass through. Do not live, on the street of this traffic, but live on the path of this present spaciousness. The dominion of thoughts has tied you to a garish caravan of meaningless carnival attractions, but this transient show has no interpretation. Do not give, what you as yet, do not know you have. Give the space of yourself that you uncover, to the emptiness of these images. The fish caught in the net, struggles not knowing it is water itself. It is its own medium. Let go of the handle of this mesh and the way through these entanglements drops out of the bucket the mind holds on to. These passing words are not fish to grasp either. Let them slip away into the silence they come from. If you have an idea of the meaning of this lesson. Let it go. love eric Copyright 2002. Eric Ashford.
