Dear Friends,

I am putting together a proposal for a Public Access TV show here in

Seattle. I don't intend, at least for now, to produce my own shows, but I

would like to begin by broadcasting videos of talks by spiritual teachers in

the nondual tradition.

Besides needing videos, I also need written permission from the copyright

owners of the videos. If anyone can loan me tapes to broadcast, please

contact me. And if you are the copyright owner, or can put me in touch with

the copyright owner, that would also be very much appreciated.

I am facing a deadline (Feb. 27) for getting this proposal in. Thanks.

Hi Mark,

That's a great idea!!! I wonder if possibly the people who are IN

the videos wouldn't be glad to give you the video and permission and all,

in exchange for your promoting it by showing it. At least the live ones.

I know you are pressed for time, and pardon my butting in a new idea,

but I also think a great angle for getting the idea approved is to

throw in

occasional interviews of people in the Seattle community..like yoga teachers,

see what you have going on there in the way of Zen, alternative health

providers, etc. Including the community of Seattle, say once a week,

makes it appealing to Public Access concerns. The very groups you

hope would want to watch your videos, your audience, so to speak..put

them on!

Also, any book promo type interviews might be done by borrowing tapes of

those already done elsewhere, the book publishers might provide those to you.

I say this because I wonder how soon you might run out of videos, just

doing strictly nondual teachers. Jerry's list of teachers may make it

seem there are tons of them...but how many have videos already made?

Take a look at what wisdom TV station is doing for ideas you might

borrow. They are really into a much more mixed bag, still good ideas

and people are there.

Also, the place that already has contacts with almost everyone books,

classes, seminars, satsangs, etc... is of course, Omega Institute.

They might be willing to provide contact information, plus just

looking at their list of offerings would give you more ideas. Just

click under "knowledge base, faculty websites for a lst of dozens of

famous AND lesser known people who could be teachers with videos.

Hey, I hope this can work out for you. It was just seeing a borrowed

video of Thich Nhat Hanh that got me started into exploring Buddhism,

and then one thing led to another.

Love,

Gloria

Dear Mark,

As far as I know, all the videos that Krishnamurti made, not UG, but

J. Krishnamurti, are archived and available for public viewing at the

Library that has been made out of his former residence in Ojai, CA.

you've got a wonderful idea. Good Luck with it.

yours in the bonds,

eric

Ps: As far as I understand it, all the videos, as well as the books,

that my own Guru, Baba Muktananda made, are held very close to the

vest by the current SYDA Foundation, which represents the intentions

of Gurumai Chidvilasananda. This is obviously a matter of

controlling rather than promulgating S. Muktananda's thoughts, but is

not uncharacteristic of Gurumai's approach to things.

Hi Mark,

i live in the Seattle area and would be glad to help out in some

respect, especially if the idea "flies" and subsequent videos go on

to cover topics not directly related to "spiritual teachers" as a

category.

i have no automobile, but could assist with anything that could be

transmitted over the Net -- fast cable connection here. Or anything

else that might come to mind... however, i have no broadcasting

experience per-se.

Namaste,
