Guest guest
Sometimes, we have to sit still to get moving again. Not moving from reaction, but moving as pure action without distortion. Mind must fall into a new space to see the face of the present. Suddenly we realize, that the train has been clattering along on reconditioned tracks that are unable to bear the gravity of God. We have mistaken the destination for an arrival, while traveling on a ghost trip to nowhere. Then it is time, to make like a lotus, and bed down in the earth of ourselves in order to open again, to the big sky of presence. Sometimes, the water gets so full of imaginative tadpoles that they turn into mind frogs. Their croaking can be so intrusive you cannot hear God think. Its always time to rest when on the move. Time to forget the time we are having, and to journey without bumping into strangers called ‘me.’ Then we can have the time of our life in place of ‘time-out’ of life. See how cats sleep. They are fully relaxed in their fur, yet ready to pounce on every passing opportunity. Dogs chase their tails and need a master. Cats just pretend that the universe is their food dish and it is. Cats have old souls. If a dog has fleas he does not care. Both are perfectly able to be the next Buddha. Both are resting in what they are. Do not expect any sense from words. When we lose our hat we may find the heart the best shelter. Be a cask of new wine for a cosmic Sufi. The Holy Spirit holds our breath. Our souls drum in the passion of flesh until nothing remains but an echo. love eric Copyright 2002. Eric Ashford.
