Guest guest
Starlight opens my eye before the morning curtain call. A soft warm animal wakes up in the heart of darkness, and stretches me beyond this snug wrapped weft of dreams. I am too played outwards to be my sleep, too uncurled to be this bed of carelessness. Falling inwards now. The juice of my blood running over into presence. Soul music tambourines in the fiber light unlatching of time. Suddenly I remember your body in mine, and you turn in my heart and smile lazily through me. Beloved your night clothes are all astray, you are less than naked, you are teased on the loom of me, like candy and cream. “Don’t forget to breathe†you whisper. “Don’t forget to be me anytime now.†I hear the dawn scraping its fiddle with bird song. I hear the throb of our heart, as it gasps together in quick embrace. I have lost myself already. I have awoken in your body and can move within any mountain like water. Seeking every delightful crevice of you. The morning papers rattle the door. The stars rush to adorn your hidden hair, and light my desire for the sun. I am lit from within, and reach for you as one. love eric Copyright 2002. Eric Ashford.
