Guest guest
20th of February. Storm lashed Briton in the year of God 2002. Even now, I see the slant of sun breaking through the clouded upheaval of thunder and turmoil. Even now I feel the presence of this our abiding love. If my heart belongs to just one thing this morning, it is to the storm gulls. They have learned the art of being the buff and bunting of boundless reaches of wheeling composition and capitulation. If they are lonely in this gray turning sky, they are concealing their fright in an endless raucous ribaldry, that rushes to sink and swim the piratical clowning, of a wind that throws them into this commotion of our common existence. Let the Buddha sit quietly today, my being belongs to the tumult of this spiral of sea-spume, and spurning climate of tossed earth that tumbles in the twist of Gods playfulness. The whole land is flooded with a holy disturbance that breaks upon the center of this, my plumb-line of peace. I am arrowed and leveled down and up, in the well and wellspring spray, of this free-spun life. A well-honed storm window, greeting that which does fly away and returns wet from the health of form filled meld and meandering. God paints my eye with a passion, and I spin my dervish thread on the web of this revolution. This hoop of gyration that pins me like a saint to the point and the passing. A hundred acres of heaven. Gull cry and grounded in my still dance. Shine lightening of sunburst becoming. And now the moment vanishing into the veneer of the gone and going. Today all the two's are converging. The voices of the heart have torn themselves apart in too much thinking. Just to be. Just to be is enough. Just to be the wind that fleet foots the fair and fallen, the faint and fearful, the far fetched and forgotten. Just to be this flotsam, found by the felling of time in this moment, held within this cyclone of Loves unleashing. Who speaks a spell of wonder, needs but sit a spell under, the twirl of Loves dress and leave the mind to rest and see. The calm creating heart, the life of a sea stirring center of Be. God has come down to your feet and lays Her hat above you. With a jaunty stride you take the air of heaven within a traveling wide and caravan soul. God has turned you around and looks the way you always did before you thought to be religious. She has given you the kiss of life to pass on to everyone. A laid back feather in your cap tickles the hair you keep for loves lips. God dressed up and woke you in the crib of love, so that you could reflect like a moonbeam in the dark heart of the lotus. You opened like the sun, and nobody saw you leave, and no one saw you come. The train of these thoughts has left quietly and perfectly on time. love eric Copyright 2002. Eric Ashford. Guest guest
I Wonder if all the 2' are converging into One. Its a pleasure to be back on this list after some time away. I wonder if you know of any realized teachers in Scotland where I liveor UK in general. I cant afford to sit at the feet of a master in Indiathough I was K awakened by the late Guruji (Dr Goels) and also visited SaiBaba's ashram for a month 5 years ago.I have been attracted to the teachings of Eckhart Tolle in his book ThePower of Now and accompanying tapes but again distance is the problem. The modern teachers travel the world. On the intellectual level I believe that I am already complete and thereforefreed of ignorance, knowing my true state. I just haven't fully realized it. I do feel that some help from a "final" true master would hasten the process. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.Loved your article on Love HarshaWith regard and respectChris Hughes
Guest guest
Hi Chris, I was just being heavy handed and light hearted. You will do fine, when you start looking for a teacher, he/she starts seeking you. No one can fail in this game of spiritual unfolding. All will be well. love eric. Dear Eric thank you for the practical advice. I will look into thiis as you sugest. Chris/join All paths go somewhere. No path goes nowhere. Paths, places, sights, perceptions, and indeed all experiences arise from and exist in and subside back into the Space of Awareness. Like waves rising are not different than the ocean, all things arising from Awareness are of the nature of Awareness. Awareness does not come and go but is always Present. It is Home. Home is where the Heart Is. Jnanis know the Heart to be the Finality of Eternal Being. A true devotee relishes in the Truth of Self-Knowledge, spontaneously arising from within into It Self. Guest guest
Chris & Friends, Chris, reading your post I'm reminded of the story that Adyashanti told of his own enlightenment and how he tried to expose himself to a solution when he felt himself to be in a situation somewhat like your own. He'd heard of a contemporary of his, in Northern California, I think, who had already developed a reputation for helping qualified people through the final problems that blocked a breakthrough. I don't have the name of the helper, and I've just checked Adyashanti's site, and in the 6 months since I read his "enlightenment story", he has removed it from his site, which is a pity, since it was the most convincing document I've read on the internet, a long story with all the details, teachers, etc. It's a sad reflection, but once a teacher starts getting known, the focus seems to tighten, and details concerning other teachers and how they helped are soon eclipsed. Check with Jerry at NondualitySalon.com or at his website, www.nonduality.com and see if he can help you. He(Jerry) lists his own email address on the site. Ask him if he knows who the teacher who helped Adyashanti through to his breakthrough. If anyone would know, as I just can't remember the fellow's name, Jerry would. Sarlo is another fellow who might remember the fellow I'm thinking of. Sarlo also runs a "guru evaluation" service, and if Jerry can't help you, he can point you towards Sarlo. Of course, you might be able to get help somewhere else, but Adyashanti's story made it clear that this teacher is kind of a "hired gun", who just works intensely 'one on one' for an immediate breakthrough. This might be just the thing someone like you, who is well prepared and who doesn't live close to a teacher could use. I'm sorry that I couldn't be more helpful, but if you really need to make a contact, I'll bet someone will come through for you. yours in the bonds, eric , "AnneChris" <am009a8716@b...> wrote: > I Wonder if all the 2' are converging into One. > > > Its a pleasure to be back on this list after some time away. > > I wonder if you know of any realized teachers in Scotland where I live > or UK in general.
