Yep,

there are teachers everywhere if you are really looking. If you want a perfect teacher

you have to try to be a perfect student. The best place to start is with your family

and friends. Love is all there is. Devotion is due to all.

love

eric.

I know what you mean, Eric. It only gets worse...I've heard unforgettable,

astounding truths casually uttered by checkout clerks at the grocery.

Enlightened teachers start popping up everywhere. When I first discovered

Zen, those enigmatic sayings of the great master had such a familiar ring.

Darned if they didn't sound just like my mother.:)

PS Your poems are like getting mail from God.

Excuse me for butting in, but in defence of my Scots granny,

(my first guru), she enlightened me about what a real Scotsman

wears under his

kilt, unfortunately the 'transmission' would require too much

translation. However, to

hear her speak of it was blissfully funny.

Seriously though, I find it refreshing that the guru's tend to

ply their trade in America or

the Far East. Gives the English something else to complain

about, and boosts the

ailing travel industry. Meanwhile those who look to their own

inner guru can find a

real teacher to point them in the right direction.

smiles

eric.

A spiritually mature mind is not seduced by a false teaching or a

false teacher that promises something, which one does not have.

The wise remain utterly contented with what they have, their own

nature, and where they are, in their own Self, and see the bait of

higher wisdom and knowledge (to be given by someone else) as a mirage

without any foundation what so ever.

Dear Harsha

seems this is for me,on the whole I am content but becoming a little complacent with it.

Anyway I will think on it.

However it seems that is is rare for a person to be realzed without the guidance of a true teacher.

Difficulty is they all say they are enlightened but I have asked for a final "True Guru" to appear.

In Scotland that will indeed be a miracle, smiling broadly, but you

never can tell. I might become the first to become as nothing. Not

that that matters.

Going to see Eckhart Tolle in London in a month. He resonates with me.

All paths go somewhere. No path goes nowhere. Paths, places, sights,

perceptions, and indeed all experiences arise from and exist in and

subside back into the Space of Awareness. Like waves rising are not

different than the ocean, all things arising from Awareness are of

the nature of Awareness. Awareness does not come and go but is always

Present. It is Home. Home is where the Heart Is. Jnanis know the Heart

to be the Finality of Eternal Being. A true devotee relishes in the

Truth of Self-Knowledge, spontaneously arising from within into It

Self. Welcome all to a.
