On February 28, 1937, the then Maharaja of Mysore, Krishnarajendra Wodeyar

travelled all the way from Mysore to asram specially to have Ramana's darshan.

He remained with Ramana for fifteen minutes and was silent almost the whole time.

At lunch that day when the devotees were talking about the incident Ramana

commented on the visit. "He is a highly advanced soul ... It is enough for the eyes

to meet in a glance; immediately they turn inwards in response and recognition.

Verbal conversation is then unnecessary."
