Guest guest
Dairy (milk-based, *not* whey) provides all the problems that meat does. It's protein structure, though high quality has pro-inflammatory, hormone/disrupting effects. I suspect that all of the problem may not actually stem from the animal/milk protein itself but also from the hormones that are given to the animals. So if one does consume dairy/meat I highly suggest going organic.
Guest guest
Thanks David for your insights on nutrition and the references. I will look up the following book you suggested, "The New Nutrition" - by Dr. Michael Colgan" Being a vegetarian, I don't eat fish or chicken. I seldom eat any dairy products anymore, although after your suggestion, I have tried whey protein (and also Brewer's yeast). I have also experimented with eating boiled eggs from time to time, although am not sure whether will continue with that in the future. My natural inclination is towards a vegetarian diet made in large part of raw foods and some cooked vegetables. I currently follow what is close to a cave man diet for vegetarians!
