<Can someone here explain to me the connection or interrelation

between devotion (to god or the guru) and the rise of shakti-energy,

please?>

In my experience there has to be a sense of devotion within the

consciousness for the shakti to rise. True devotion is beyond the

duality of judgment and doubt which keeps the mind locked in

separation.

So what actually happens is that the thoughts and feelings are

directed towards God or the Self or the Guru - which are all the same

thing - in a focussed, one-pointed manner. This awakens the shakti

and pulls her upward towards her origin.

Thank you dear Michael, Jan, "hrtbeat" and all who responded to my

question. What you say expresses very clearly what is happening. The

energy is not going outwards in different directions any more but

flows only in one upwards and because of that is experienced more

intensely - sometimes very intensely - wow, help! And in my case it

has to do with devotion to Sri Ramana.

Is this the same as the rise of kundalini? Until now I was not very

much interested in K. but it seems I have now to start to gain some

understanding of it. Can anyone here help me or recommend what I can

read?
