Guest guest
Hello Jill, remember the story how Queen Victoria had just read Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland" and had become so enthused with it that she sent for other books by the same author? Much to her surprise, she received a tome titled, "Theory of Determinants", containing some abstruse mathematics. It turned out Carroll was a mathematician in "civilian" life. Well, you'd have to be prepared for a similar shock here. :-) But yes, please do - come over, I mean, and let's have a book feast. There are some 7,000 books more or less evenly distributed throughout the house, so chances are you would find something that interests you. Apart from mathematics you'd see books on astronomy, astrology, comparative religion, classical music, philosophy, psychology, computer science, theoretical physics, and chess, but of course also some assorted novels and poetry of diverse climes and times. And thanks for remembering Tolstoy! What kind of books do you read?
