Guest guest Posted June 24, 2002 Report Share Posted June 24, 2002 Friends, Apropos nothing, the constant adjuration to "LOSE 10 POUNDS", just reminded me of a joke I found a terribly appropriate warning to my more philosophic and intellectual friends(myself) when I was an adolescent(yesterday?)and had just discovered the self and socio- critical joys of Harvey Kurtzman's MAD Magazine. It went: Lose 50 pounds of ugly and unnecessary fat while making your world a more beautiful place...cut off your head. I include this for my radically effusive advaitic friends who have found a million "personal" ways to say that words don't have it and the intellect can't realize or grasp it, and that the person who doesn't exist couldn't get it if he or she did. yours in the bonds, eric PS.
