Guest guest
Thank you, Zenbob, for providing me with an amusing, delightful and suitably wacky (don't take tat amiss !) start to my day. You should next compose something - if you can find the time - on the topic of a busy bee ! All good wishes ! John..........Silent Companion............. ---- Thank you for the artwork. Here is a terrible thing I just finished... Just playing. The Novel "Heavens" just completed... The summer garden is in...snow peas, tomatos, pole beans, zucchini, squash, gourds & pumpkin... The Peafowl have all returned...now two full fan-tailed males cavort with the younger males and females...(photos to follow)...eight peafowl at once during the weekend...incredible show! New kitties, (photos to follow) now 5 weeks old... Novel "Heavens II" sequal in the works...soundtrack already done...(ask for samples, if interested. Both novels have CD albums) EBook site in production...please contact me if you have a manuscript or collection of poetry, stories, etc., how-to-yoga, etc., Metaphysical, or Diet, cooking, or health related...even if manuscript is rough...I am willing to edit and prep for Ebook sales... Hey...here are some poetical thoughts for the week: Egrets hunt with no regrets... Stalking amid the stalks They crane their necks Never neck their cranes Even in the winter Even if it rains... Ravens and Jays gossip for days Neither understands what the other says But neither hesitate to risk a feather When predators threaten nestlings In sunny days or dreary weather... In Persia, Shaheens are royal daughters And entertain with twinkling eye And proud hauteur Formal dress may include seven veils Silk blouse, skirt and peacock hat The face may never be reveiled But the body is always looked at... Tigers love their young, and play in the snow Vain before others as humans know And proud, clever and strong They nuzzle their young With gentle tongue and song... Have you seen a Gazelle across the veldt? They are swift of hoof, quite svelt... Unlike the gnu, as you know They are most quick Not nearly so slow... The sloth, well, less said the better He never gets excited or raises a sweater He started to climb his tree last week He's halfway up and gaining as we speak Perhaps he appreciates life much more By moving slowly...so slowly... Very slowly...really really slowly... Yawn...what a bore... And ducks, well, ducks are ducky They quack and swim and are quite plucky And if they manage to stay off the plaque Mallard, China and Runner all... Then I'd say those ducks should quack About being very, very lucky... A mouse cried out that he had fallen in love with the moon... And stayed out late each evening to see his love... But she, cool and distant only favoured him with her light... Until one night... As he stared, cried and howled He was swept up and away... Moonstruck and struck by an owl... Guest guest
Dear Zenbob: I looked again at 'Island' and reread your poem. They are very appealing to me. A question about the image. The colors are very beautiful and inviting in the sky and water as are the shapes in both very enticing. But the island has no place to picnic or really even to cling to and the color is grey. I am curious on your take on what this means. Why do you paint an island like this one? What does it all mean? i have a manuscript on a special construction of Raja Yoga mixed with my own take on my life experiences, with graphics that I have been trying to make into a website. An e-book is something I am not familiar with. What do I have to do to get you interested in looking at my manuscript? It is 20 dense pages with about 100 graphics.
