The End, Aurobindo

The meeting of man and God must always mean a penetration and entry

of the Divine into the human and a self-immergence of man in the

Divinity.

But that immergence is not in the nature of an annihilation.

Extinction is not the fulfilment of all this search and passion,

suffering and rapture. The game would never have been begun if that

were to be its ending.

Delight is the secret. Learn of pure delight and thou shalt learn of

God.

What then was the commencement of the whole matter? Existence that

multiplied itself for sheer delight of being and plunged into

numberless trillions of forms so that it might find itself

innumerably.

And what is the middle? Division that strives towards a multiple

unity, ignorance that labours towards a flood of varied light, pain

that travails towards the touch of an unimaginable ecstasy. For all

these things are dark figures and perverse vibrations.

And what is the end of the whole matter? As if honey could taste

itself and all its drops together and all its drops could taste each

other and each the whole honeycomb as itself, so should the end be

with God and the soul of man and the universe.

Hi Bob,

This Aurobindo is quite something eh?

> Delight is the secret. Learn of pure delight and thou shalt learn of God.

I must have read pretty well all his "heavy and hefty" books many years ago,

working midnight shift for about 6 years in a saw chain manufacturing plant,

monitoring furnace temperatures and every ten minutes or so "scooping up, in

or out" small handfuls of metal parts, often one of Aurobindo's books not

even leaving one of my hands, while pretty much agreeing all the time...

Eh, that is... a bit too much celibacy though... luckily those prohibitive

requirements were hard to take seriously...

A new appreciation of love, or as you Bob said:

> Our confirmation is in the heart.

> We indeed represent a new paradigm,

> a unique evolution of This Loving.

Aurobindo's yoga though:

So fully all-encompassing...

A true integral yoga...

So all inclusive...

His love almost "massive"...

You quote:

> ...As if honey could taste itself and all its drops together

> and all its drops could taste each other and each

> the whole honeycomb as itself, so should the end be

> with God and the soul of man and the universe.

Ah true nectar...

Wim

And indeed we do taste... ambrosia... amrita..."in den lijve". (Dutch for

"bodily")

All paths go somewhere. No path goes nowhere. Paths, places, sights,

perceptions, and indeed all experiences arise from and exist in and subside

back into the Space of Awareness. Like waves rising are not different than

the ocean, all things arising from Awareness are of the nature of Awareness.

Awareness does not come and go but is always Present. It is Home. Home is

where the Heart Is. Jnanis know the Heart to be the Finality of Eternal

Being. A true devotee relishes in the Truth of Self-Knowledge, spontaneously

arising from within into It Self. Welcome all to a.
