"If your heart feels numb and metallic, walk out

into the sun, or whatever

the mystery is that makes your inner spring well up.

There was once a sage who felt

this flow moving inside him. As he walked the garden

that was being restored with

springwater, he gave names to aspects of the vital dance

he was doing: the animal's

hungry ability and the connoisser's intelligent choice.

Blessings on Hakim

Sanai, who could put these two in one gesture!"

Raising his hands high,

he sold the entire universe

to the Sky that tilted and dilated

for Attar. An Attar of Altar Roses

broke open,

leaving petal-print scents

against the Breast of God.

Breathe in that Palm-Print

of Passion and Perfumed Song

stroking this Moment into Being

the body of every being

who meets openly in the opening

of every Heart.

Particular in being peculiar,

Peculiarity becomes

a particularly

fine art!

Artfully dodging the bullet

of blaming anything

or anyone

for What Is,

It isn't particularly worried.

Particularly about opinions.

"The center leads to Love.

Soul opens the creation-core."

"A piece of paper covered

with numbers and curving color streaks

drops in the water, blurs, and flows away."

~Rumi

Dropping into the well,

the night swells up and out

into the Heart of Shams.

Sinking beneath this story

being told to every Lover,

the two glass Buddhas

make their break.

Breaking the tradition

of being conditioned,

the very air they breathe

becomes a blank tape.

Rolling across the horizon

as some Primal Sound and Show

doing 'Show and Tell,'

Invisibility Uncovers ItSelf.

The Naked Ones

begin to Moan.

"This marriage be wine with halvah,

honey dissolving in milk. This

marriage be the leaves and fruit

of a date tree. This marriage be

women laughing for days

on end. This marriage, a sign

for us to study. This marriage,

beauty. This marriage, a moon in

a light-blue sky. This marriage,

this silence fully mixed with spirit."

Did you hear the one

about the farmer's wife?

She ran off with

the carving knife.

"When two thieves meet they need

no introduction:

They recognize each other without question."

~ Amban

While You were busy stealing my heart,

i had already lifted Yours from my own chest,

feeding it peaches in the grove at dawn.

Such peaches hail from a long line of peaches,

all simultaneously ripening in the Orchard we call

Beloved.

We have fallen, peach-drunk, in That Orchard,

and now just roll round, dawn-hued fruits

back and forth --

children at play in the Fields of the Lord.

All are welcome to these juicy fruits, but

only if they can hold them without

using their hands!

LoveAlways,
