Guest guest
Please call me by my true names, so I can wake up and the door of my heart could be left open, the door of compassion. ~Thich Nhat Hanh But even Thich Nhat Hanh would suggest walking thorugh that door of compassion and and helping a suffering soul...feeding a hungry person, or giving shelter to a refugee. The Dalai Lama did not choose to "do nothing" when Tibet was invaded by China. Doing nothing has never been the ultimate objective of Buddhist philosophy. I think it wrong to take the lovely writing of Thich Nhat Hanh, and use it as an endorsement of "non-action." There is a time to be motionless and a time to be in motion. I am tired. I am going to go to sleep soon. Blessings, Zenbob
